This time of year, our Customer Experience Team is quite busy answering all of your questions, and we want to share answers to those questions that they receive the most — from how to choose a gift, to how to make it, and everything in between.

1. Which video book should I choose?

The perfect gift does exist. And depending on who you’re creating a gift for, we are here to help you decide which cover design will best suite your needs.

For the newlyweds – choose from any of the timelessly designed covers from the wedding collection video books. Designed exclusively for wedding videos, engagement videos, or anniversary videos, you can be confident that any of these video book styles will bring joy well beyond the season.

For parents or grandparents – whether you’re creating a compilation of your favorite family memories or a slideshow of photos from the past year, the Memories video book is the perfect way to store and display the moments that matter most. Elevate your gift one more notch by personalizing the cover with a meaningful phrase with the personalized video book.

For your special someone – sometimes, it seems impossible to find the perfect gift that says it all. But with a video book, you can easily show them how much they mean to you with the “I LOVE YOU” video album. 2. What about the video?

Creating a custom gift may feel a little overwhelming, but the hardest part is honestly getting started. Once you know which videos or photos you want to use, it’s easy!

Videos can be uploaded from multiple sources. If you have your video uploaded already to YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, or GoogleDrive (or any cloud storage really), simply paste your video link in your order when placing an order. We’ll do the hard work for you and preload it onto your video book so that it arrives ready to play – straight out of the box. If your video is saved onto your computer as a video file, use this form to upload your .mp4 or .mov file (you can upload after you place an order – don’t worry, we’ll connect the dots and have it uploaded for you).

If photos are more your thing, simply upload your photos to your video book and they will automatically play in a slideshow format. The video book will actually create the slideshow for you, right on the spot! You can even enjoy your photo slideshow with your favorite music by uploading an audio file (.mp3) as well.

If you want to be a little fancier with your photo slideshow, you can create it through websites like Animoto.com or using iMovie. These programs are easy to use and allow you to be creative with the wide variety of effects they offer. Animoto.com makes it super easy to make a stunning slideshow of your favorite photos. You can even pick a song from their extended library of licensed music to play alongside your slideshow.

Keep in mind you can provide an online link to your video when placing your order and we’ll preload it for you. You can even check off that you need more time getting the video sent to us and we’ll wait a little bit to make sure we ship The Motion Books ready to play.

3. Can I be sure my video will play well?

Crafted with premium materials and featuring a gorgeous 7” IPS display and built-in speakers, video albums make it easy to enjoy your most special videos in the highest quality possible.

Although all HD formats play effortlessly with The Motion Books, we recommend encoding your videos up to 720p as the video will play perfectly in this format. Not sure what format your video file is in? Try our auto converter that will convert your video into the ideal format that will play perfectly on your video book.

4. How can I personalize my gift?

Personalized gifts are always so much more meaningful and sentimental. Whoever receives a personalized gift knows that extra thought and love was put into that gift. The Personalized video book allows you to customize the cover with your own title or phrase that is special to you. Select from 3 color options – creme (most popular), midnight blue, or pebble grey.

If you’re looking for even more customization options, we have something for you as well! With the monogram video book, upload your monogram or logo design and we’ll stamp it on the front cover of your video book. This allows for a truly one-of-a-kind video book that will surely be the best gift of the year. Just keep in mind, logo and monogram molds take about 10 days to create, so give us some extra time to craft your order.

5. Is there gift-wrapping available?

We understand the holidays are the busiest time of the year and wrapping gifts is probably the last thing on your to-do list. That’s why we’ve made it extremely easy for you to gift a video book to your loved ones in a premium gift box, that’s ready to be placed under the tree. Premium gift boxes are made of durable high-quality materials and finished off with a silky ribbon, tied in a perfect bow.

6. When do I need to order by?

For United States customers, we recommend placing all orders on or before December 14th, 2022. This will give us ample time to fulfill your order with free shipping. Priority Shipping and Express shipping upgrades will be available for those making a last minute selection. In those case, you will have until December 17 and December 21 respectively. For personalized/customized orders, please give us 1-3 extra days to perfectly create your video album.

For International customers, we recommend placing your order now as the cheapest shipping option takes 2-3 weeks to arrive. Latest you should have your order in is by December 1, 2022. Faster delivery is available using Expedited shipping services. In this case, you’ll have until December 14th, 2022 to place your order. Just don’t forget to select “Expedited” shipping option when checking out to ensure we ship it the faster method.

We always recommend placing your order sooner than later – especially during the Holiday shipping rush. Our friends in the shipping industry are especially busy this time of year, so ordering your gifts early and a few days (or weeks!) before these cut-off dates is always a good idea.

7. Can I send my gift to my friends oversees?

Yes! International shipping is available to most major countries. You may find the entire list of countries we offer shipping to on our FAQ page. Keep in mind that international shipping may take longer than usual, so make sure to place your international order ahead of time to ensure delivery in time for the holidays.
